3-Chloromethcathinone, also called 3-CMC or clophedrone is a cathinone class drug, a 3-MMC replacement and structurally related to the antidepressant bupropion(3-chloro-N-(t-butyl)cathinone). 3-CMC is marketed as a designer drug and its properties are not fully understood, but it has been found that this drug promotes the release of dopamine and serotonin.
Exposure to 3-CMC when taking the drug promotes stimulation, empathy, the desire to communicate, increases libido, suppresses anxiety, euphoria.
3-CMC has been little studied and there is little data on its pharmacological and toxicological properties. This drug is intended for research and testing in specially equipped laboratories.
This substance is prohibited for sale in Sweden, the UK.
